Interventional Procedures

Cardiac interventional procedures are specialized treatments performed on dogs to correct certain heart problems without the need for open-heart surgery. These procedures are typically recommended when a dog is diagnosed with congenital heart issues such as a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) or pulmonic stenosis. Some dogs may also develop issues in life that require treatment with a pacemaker. The goal of any intervention to improve the dog’s heart function, relieve symptoms like coughing, fatigue, or difficulty breathing, and enhance their overall quality of life. Interventional procedures are less invasive, often have shorter recovery times, and can be a safer option compared to traditional surgery.
